its mineral resources, e.g. Asbestos, Talc, kaolin, marbles, mica,
manganese, magnesium and gold. The geology of Gedarif state includes some kinds of rocks: –Sediments. –Basalt rock. –Nubian rock. –Basement Cambrain. |

| Vast area of different types of forests exists in the state, especially in the southern parts where there is wood industry. | |||||
| There are more than 1.200.000 acre, reserved land for
forests. Types of trees: Acacia Senegal. Acacia Seyal. Acacia nilotica. Eucalyptus ssp. Commiphora pedunculata. Stercula Setigera…..etc. |
